After lunch, visit Angkor Thom, the Great Royal City. Cycling through narrow forest paths, the visit extends to the Temple of Ta Prohm.
Early afternoon ride back to the city for a tropical massage. At the end of the day, a private 60- minute yoga class can be organized for some relaxing time.
Night at a hotel in Siem Reap. (Bicycle ride and 3hr walk in the temples)
After breakfast, we take a tuk tuk to the temples of Angkor. This morning is dedicated to Angkor Wat, a majestic complex registered as a UNESCO World Heritage site. Guided tour in the heart of this complex, considered by some to be the eighth wonder of the world and the symbol of the Khmer empire. Lunch on site. Walking through the forest, discover the remote temple of Ta Nei. Visit Preah Khan. Return in town for a body scrub.
Dinner in town and night at a hotel in Siem Reap. (2-3h walk)
At dawn, we go visit the remote temple of Beng Mealea, a mini-Angkor Wat, lesser known by tourists. Walk through the maze of Suryavarman’s temple, through arcades, galleries and gopuras buried under kapok tree roots.
Next is the unknown and recently opened site of Koh Ker, an ancient royal city dating back to the 10th century, located 90 kilometers northeast from Siem Reap, which we will reach by car. Explore satellite temples, spread all over the site in the sparse forest of Preah Vihear province, including the famous Prasat Thom, the tallest mountain temple of the Kingdom, peaking at 35 metres (on seven storeys).
Discover a huge baray, which used to irrigate for the ancient city.
