Adapted for all ages (as young as six years old), discover Cambodia through this fun and unusual family tour. Meet the locals, and sleep in their homes in the floating villages of the Great Lake or in the countryside. You will have fun exploring the jewels of Cambodia, such as the temple of Angkor Wat, hiking or riding and set off for a treasure hunt in the maze of an abandoned temple.
This trip is an initiation to adventure including scores of activities for kids (kayaking, hot air balloon, Phare Circus, waterfall, swimming, trishaw rides, and snorkelling). Rest and relax by the sea and on an island at the end of the sojourn, feet deep in the white sand, your eyes filled with unforgettable images.
Riding towards the South Gate of Angkor Thom, discover the walls of this ancient city, still hidden in the forest. On elephant back, arrive at the temple of four faces, the Bayon. Visit Angkor Thom, the Great Royal City. A short trip takes you to Preah Khan. Hike through the forest and along narrow paths and explore the small, remote temple of Ta Nei. At 4 p.m., our guide will suggest taking a snack break for the children in the middle of the Park. Further on to Ta Keo, then end the day at Ta Prohm , the famous Koki tree temple. Today, hop on a hot air balloon offering vistas of the Park from the sky (a tethered balloon, this trip is only available when weather permits). After relaxing in the pool and dining, make your way to the Phare Circus show. Hotel night in Siem Reap. (10-20 kilometers bike ride with support vehicle; baby seats are available).
Early start to enjoy sunrise at Angkor Wat. Breakfast picnicking among the temples of the Archaeological Park, then head towards the lake to discover the locals’ daily lives in a picturesque landscape. Boat cruise on the lake. Children can also enjoy a well-deserved nap. Each year the water level of the Lake Tonle Sap, the Great Lake of Cambodia, varies from four to eight metres and floods the plains and forest of the region (August until January). Paddling wooden canoes, we can navigate through the inundated forest. In low water season, visit of the floating villages and move further upstream along the Sangkar River, bordering the Prek Toal bird sanctuary. More lakeside villages; marvel at their fishing techniques and visit privately owned crocodile farms. Take a break in one of the local home stays on the Lake. The program and visits of this day out may be modified according to hydro logical conditions.
At sunrise, a local boat takes us for a boat trip in the Gulf of Siam. Get your mask and snorkel out to explore the seabed. Stroll, swim and barbecue on deserted beaches.
