Trekking in Cambodia
To participate at our trekking circuits does not require special professional level of skills or physical conditions – it gives you just a relaxing touch of your vacation. Just be in good health and physical condition and enjoy the trips.

14 days Trekking Cambodia (TK14):
Itinerary
Day 1:
Arrival at Siem Reap. You meet your guide at the airport. Transfer to the Hotel. Rest of the day, free to visit the town. Diner at your leisure. Night at the Hotel in Siem Reap.
Day 2:
Trekking in the countryside and on the Old Royal Route, to discover the lost temple Chao Srei Vibol. Visit of the temple and the pagoda. We carry on to the Roluos temples across the villages – visit of the Bakong mountain temple. We sleep in a typical Khmer house in the village.
Day 3:
Departure to the lost temple Beng Melea, still caught in the deep jungle. Visit of the temple. Transfer to the Phnom Kulen Mountain. Trekking along the pilgrim path up to the summit of the Phnom Kulen, the sacred mountain of the Khmer. Lunch and bath at the waterfall. In the afternoon, we are trekking across the forest and the villages. Bivouac in a village with the inhabitants or in the pagoda at the summit of the mountain.
Day 4:
Trekking across the jungle, the plain of limestone and high grasses to discover deep in the jungle the exceptional site Srah Dumrei, imposing monoliths (elephant and lion) of 6 m height made of sandstone, dating 10th century.
We leave the mountain to head on to Kbal Spean, the sculptured river of the “Thousand Lingas”, discover by foot the site and have a picnic. Then visit of the temple Bantey Srei and the village at sunset. We return to Siem Reap to spend the night at the Hotel.
Day 5:
You leave the Hotel on the bikes to head on to the South Gate of Angkor Thom to discover the ramparts (6 km long) of this old city, still covered by the jungle to get to the tower of the 4 faces, the Bayon temple. We take lunch. Visit of Angkor Thom, the great royal city. Visit of Ta Phrom and trekking along the Baray, to get to Ta Nei and the famous Preah Khan. Night at the Hotel in Siem Reap.
Day 6:
The morning is dedicated to Angkor Wat. We take lunch there. Transfer to the isolated temple Bantey Samré, trekking along the dike of the Baray to discover the villages. We arrive at the Royal Basin of Srah Sang for sunset. Finish your day by an aromatherapy or reflexology massage at Frangipani SPA (www.frangipanisiemreap.com)
Night spent in Siem Reap.
Day 7:
We walk along the Siem Reap river up to the lake, to discover the multicoloured villagers life. Every year, the water level of the Tonle Sap, the Big Lake of Cambodia, varies from 4 to 8 m, inundating land and forest of this region from August to January. The wooden dugout canoes will allow us to get inside the forests. If the water level is low, we will discover the floating villages and cruise up the Sangker River, along the bird sanctuary of Prek Toal. Visit of other floating villages to observe the fishing technique, fishpond and crocodile breeding. We bivouac in a village.
The program of this journey can be modified according to the hydrological conditions.
Day 8:
We return by boat and depart for Kompong Thom and Kompong Cham. City tour of this city along the Mekong. Hotel in Kampong Cham.
Day 9:
Departure with a van to Sen Monorom (province of Mondolkiri). In case of bad road conditions, we might use a pick-up (4x4). At evening, visit of the village and it’s surrounding. Night spent in a guesthouse in Sen Monorom.
Day 10:
Journey of trekking and on elephant back in this wild region to admire it’s many waterfalls. We cross the jungle covered hills to meet the Phnong, a minority ethnic population. We watch the way they grow their rice on the dry ground and how they are weaving. Lunch is taken near a waterfall lost in the jungle. We continue trekking and on elephant back and spend the night with the villagers or bivouacking in the jungle if the conditions allow it. (journey of trekking and elephant riding).
Day 11:
Trekking starts early in the morning in this wild animal region. We cross forests and hills, stop and relax at a waterfall. In the afternoon, we climb up the hill of Sen Monorom to visit the pagoda and enjoy the panoramic view. Return to Sen Monorom. Night spent in the guesthouse of Sen Monorom.
Day 12:
Departure by minibus or pick-up (4x4) for Kratie, old colonial town of the Mekong. Visit of the waterfalls of Kampi. By canoe we cruise on the Mekong to watch the dauphins. Night spent in Kratie.
Day 13:
Early morning visit of the old colonial town Kratie (2 h walking). We carry on by boat on the Mekong to Phnom Penh and spend the night in a Hotel in Phnom Penh.
Day 14:
Visit of the National Museum, Silver Pagoda and “Russian” market for last shopping opportunity. Night spent in the Hotel. Transfer to the airport for your international return flight.

Itinerary
Day 1:
Morning, drive to the remote Beng Mealea temple through the typical Khmer countryside (60 km from Siem Reap).
Explore the long abandoned temple (11th century), strangled by the jungle,
Koh Ker, a 10th century capital abandoned in the remote north of Cambodia for more than a thousand years.
Our team set up camp while we enjoy a visit to the pyramid temple of Prasat Thom. Continue to explore the many temples at this incredible site, including the beautiful Prasat Krahom covered by jungle.
Dinner will be provided at the site.
Camp overnight within the temple area.
Day 2:
Transfer to Phnom Kulen and join the pilgrim path to walk up this sacred mountain of the Khmers. Swimming in the waterfall, then we carry on to the summit of the mountain to a pagoda for the overnight camp.

Day 3:
At early morning trek in the deep jungle, to discover the exceptional site of Srah Dumrei, immense monolith sandstone of the Xth century representing elephants and lions, lost in the deep jungle. We leave the summit of the mountain with a vehicle for Kbal Spean, the sculptured river of the “thousand lingas”. Visit of the site on walking. We carry on by vehicle up to the temple and village of Banteay Srei. Visit of this temple and returning to Siem Reap before nightfall. Finish your day by an aromatherapy or reflexology massage at Frangipani SPA (www.frangipanisiemreap.com)
