A local english speaking agency that is located in Siem Reap since 1998, Terre Cambodge specialises in custom made trips and tours to Cambodia putting adventure and exchange with the locals at the heart of our enterprise. For us, travelling means responsible and sustainable tourism, especially with our local social engagements, notably by supporting the ADF Kulen project. It is also reflected in our staff wage policy, either in the office or in the field.
We have been designing customized adventure-discovery tours for the past 15 years, encompassing hikes, treks or mountain bikes rides. Not only is the majestic Angkor Wat site to be explored while biking, but also the beautiful countryside and the smiling people of Cambodia, remote temples, remote regions such as Mondolkiri to the east and the Cardamom Mountain Range to the west or Koh Ker, the ancient capital of the Khmer kings. We focus on sustainable tourism, respect for the environment, meeting and exchanging with Cambodians (overnight in homestays, etc.) and tour details (quality of the guide, overnight stays in charming places, lesser-known sites, camping in the jungle, evenings a traditional pagoda, etc.); all of this at a slower pace, closer to the people. Another area of our expertise is the Greatest Lake in Cambodia, the Tonle Sap, with homestays in floating houses and cruises up rivers to discover lakeside life. Discover our bird-watching tours, hikes, elephant-treks, mountain bike rides, and canoe in the inundated forest of the Tonle Sap, explore the sacred mountain of Phnom Kulen, cruise to discover the Mekong and share Khmer culture through interaction with local people. Our proficient guides will share with you our love of traveling and our experience in this country, one full of surprises.
Terre Cambodge is delighted to offer exciting and professional tours throughout Cambodia. Our international team originates from different continents and horizons. What brings us together is the love of this fascinating country, much of which is yet to be explored.
Every time I travel to Cambodia, I am struck by the warmth of the locals and their culture. I rapidly fell under the spell of the country. I worked for several NGOs and travelled to many provinces, which led me to establish Terre Cambodge, a local agency, so that travellers may explore Cambodia differently.
Phoun started as Laurent’s gardener. Shortly after, he began working for Terre Cambodge. Laurent perceived his great potential and ability to learn. He decided to train him in computers and accounting. Phoun has been employed by the agency since its inception. Born in Siem Reap, he dropped out of school to help his family. Nowadays, with his background, Phuon is a senior member of staff.
Born in Thailand, Phirom grew up in Banteay Meanchey Province. After graduating from school, she studied accountancy and finance at Siem Reap University and began working with another travel agency at Siem Reap International Airport. Before joining us, Phirom only knew the province she grew up in and Siem Reap in Cambodia. With Terre Cambodge, she has had the opportunity to explore other regions of the country.
Born in Siem Reap, Kagna studied at Angkor High School in Siem Reap. She graduated in 2006 and before joining us, she worked for a major Japanese tour operator. Hired in September 2012 as a booking assistant, she works with Phirom, who has trained her in the peculiarities of the unusual tours that our agency designs.
Born in Kralanh in Siem Reap Province, Rina, before working for Terre Cambodge, worked in two hotels. She has been with us since 2012 and according to Rina: 'Terre Cambodge has developed my professional skills and brought me new perspectives on my country. I am very happy to have joined this team and specifically enjoy survey trips with the whole office team.
Our beloved Captain has been taking our travellers on his boat to cruise the Tonle Sap since the agency opened. A great boat driver and lakeside milieu connoisseur, our travellers also greatly enjoy his sense of humour.
Through Biking Cambodia, its little sister, Terre Cambodge offers a large range of riding tours throughout the country. Piseth and Vannak make up our team wich is dedicated to the maintenance of the bikes and frequently guide our travellers on preserved tracks to explore Cambodia. Thanks to this mountain bike-crazy team, our travellers can enjoy these beautiful rides.
Born in a small Gallic village in Brittany, Thomas graduated from ESCAET (a business school specialized in tourism) and trained with us during his MBA. An Internet/webmarketing and travel-fanatic, he has successfully settled in the country and adapted to Terre Cambodge’s operations.
Terre Cambodge advocates sustainable tourism in close cooperation with locals. Most of the people working for us guides, drivers or office staff, are Cambodians. They know their country like no one else and will be delighted to introduce hidden gems that are the tourist radar.
We have been respecting our commitments from the onset. ‘We take you off the beaten path, to meet the locals and discover the uniqueness of the country’. Thanks to years of experience, we have been able to design unprecedented and original tours. We take you to rarely visited places unspoiled by mass tourism, where you will spend time with the locals in a pagoda, the countryside or a floating house. We pride ourselves on offering a range of tours in the heart of rural villages in the four corners of Cambodia. From inception, we have aimed at creating opportunities for tourists to immerse in an outstanding natural environment while also enabling the locals to reap the benefits of the resources of their country. We encourage meeting locals in small groups inside their traditional houses, for a mutually respectful environment which is conducive to a sustainable and unforgettable experience. Travel differently and choose the expert agency located in Cambodia since 1998.
